DayZ: Badlands on the Xbox gamescom broadcast

DayZ Badlands was featured as part of the Xbox gamescom broadcast, where we shared new footage and went into detail on what the expansion brings.

We introduced Nazdara, the new map, along with the dangers waiting on it. Dehydration and sun exhaustion become genuine threats in this environment, forcing you to plan your movement and manage your resources far more carefully than before. We also showed new gear, new locations, and the ability to repair selected houses, giving survivors a new way to establish themselves in a hostile world.

Cosmo Tales at the IGN post show

Cosmo Tales was part of the IGN post show, giving the game one of its bigger moments in front of a wider audience.

For anyone who has not come across it yet, Cosmo Tales is a family friendly roguelite adventure where you take the wheel of a talking car and set off across a colourful sci fi universe. Strange worlds, shifting dimensions and a healthy amount of danger await, and the galaxy around you keeps rearranging itself as you go, so no two runs ever feel quite the same.

Combat is fast and freeform, and the upgrades you pick up along the way let you shape your own approach. Go in loud and aggressive, play it clever and tactical, or build something flexible enough to handle whatever the universe throws at you next. The point is to experiment, and the game keeps giving you new reasons to.

At Gamescom, a playable version was available at the ASUS ROG booth thanks to our friends at ASUS, and watching people get properly absorbed in it for a while was easily one of the highlights of our week.

Nailcrown debuts a new trailer at Future Games Show

Nailcrown made its debut with a brand new trailer during the Future Games Show.

The trailer gives you a closer look at the vicious enemies, deadly weapons, and twisted environments standing between you and your next massacre. From hordes of undead to monstrous creatures, every encounter is designed to keep you moving, shooting, slashing, and fighting for survival.

Everwind reveals Winds of Creation at Future Games Show

Everwind also debuted a new trailer during the Future Games Show, introducing the upcoming expansion, Winds of Creation.

We have already teased that this update puts a major focus on Sandbox Mode, giving you even more freedom to explore, build, experiment, and create your own adventures in the world of Everwind. But there is much more coming beyond Sandbox.

Winds of Creation and Beyond will also introduce:

  • The Bandit Faction. New enemies and a brand new threat to encounter.

  • The Steamer Localizer. A new tool to help you navigate and explore the world.

  • New Unique Items. More powerful and unusual gear to discover.

  • New Enemies. Because apparently, Everwind wasn't dangerous enough already.

  • More Sandbox Content. New possibilities for players who want to build, experiment, and make the world their own.

And that is just the beginning.

Beyond the stage

Not everything at Gamescom happens in front of a camera. A big part of our week was spent in meeting rooms, strengthening relationships with platform, technology and industry partners, and starting a few conversations we hope to talk about properly down the line.

Arma 4 came up more than anything else. The interest around it was genuinely encouraging and it opened doors across platform, technology, hardware and community collaborations. We also spent time looking into physical products and collector focused gear, plus a few things we are keeping to ourselves for now.

Thank you

To every partner, developer, journalist, creator and colleague who made time to meet us in Cologne, thank you. And to our players, the ones who watched the streams, wishlisted a game, or simply told us what they thought: none of this means much without you.

See you at the next one.
