Frequently asked questions
As stated in the EULA, DayZ is being licensed for non-commercial purposes only. This means that in general, making money from DayZ, beyond accepting voluntary donations without any counter-value, is not allowed. However, there’s a few exceptions where we have allowed monetization. You can find more information about each of them in the links bellow:

Please right-click DayZ in your Steam Library and select "Properties". Now go to the "BETAs" tab. Select if you wish to opt into or out of the Experimental version.
DayZ is a standalone product so you do not need Arma 2 in order to play DayZ.
This problem is a known issue that the team is working on fixing. In order to minimize the risk of losing your gear after a server restart, it is recommended that you wait until a couple of minutes have passed by according to the time on the restarted server before reconnecting with your character.
If it's wednesday, then this will most likely be due to our server maintenance which is scheduled every wednesday at 08:00 (GMT +1).

The banning system is administrated by Battleye, we have absolutely no involvement in the process of detecting cheats/hacks nor administrating any bans etc. We would suggest you to contact Battleye directly.
You are still able to play on non-battleye protected servers. In order to do that, please open your in-game server browser, click on the filters and switch "Battleye required" from "Default" to "No".
